The guest speakers will delve into the details of the Hazel McCallion Line and Yonge North Subway Extension projects, and explore the exciting engineering work taking place as construction progresses.

Duncan Law
Vice President Rapid Transit (Hazel McCallion Line), Metrolinx
Duncan is the Vice President for the Hazel McCallion Line LRT project. He joined the LRT program in November 2021 after heading the Sponsorship of the Subways Program since its conception in 2019. Duncan joined Metrolinx following a 20-year diverse career in the UK railway sector. His experience within the railway sector included front line operational roles, the general management of one of the country’s largest stations and business change management. The bulk of his experience has been focused on the sponsorship of major capital programs in the North of England, as well as the early development of the UK High Speed (2) program.
A veteran of the UK Armed Forces, Duncan has extensive experience leading teams, is a qualified leadership coach, and enjoys mentoring and coaching people to help unlock their maximum potential.
Steven Collins, P.Eng.
Municipal Sponsor (Yonge North Subway Extension), Metrolinx
Steve is the Program Sponsor of the Yonge North Subway Extension (YNSE), or effectively the public face of the project for Metrolinx. He joined Metrolinx and the YNSE project in early 2020, and has been an instrumental pillar for the team in building relationships with various stakeholders, including municipal governments, regional governments, the business community, and other public agencies such as CN rail. An engineer by training, prior to joining Metrolinx Steve spent over a decade with the Regional Municipality of York, including a stint as a Transportation Commissioner. Steve is a graduate of the University of Waterloo. A native of Thornhill, Steve is passionate about serving his community and seeing the Yonge Subway help transform the region positively.
