2020 PEO York Chapter - Annual General Meeting and Board Elections

The York Chapter will be holding the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 2020-2021 executive board elections at the Eagles Nest Golf Club in Vaughan on February 22, 2020. A summary of the Chapter's finances and activities during 2019 will be presented along with opportunities to raise questions and suggestions to the Chapter Board.Pttps://peoyork2018-agmwinercpc.eventbrite.com

2020-2021 Chapter Executive Board Elections 

The election is to provide an opportunity for registered members or EITs to serve in the Chapter’s executive board for one year, if elected.

How do I run for the election?

  • To be eligible to run for the election, the member/EIT must be in good standing with PEO and have no criminal record.
  • Two nominations by a P.Eng. and a short description of why you want to run, including the position you are interested in, needs to be submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.by Feb 8, 2020.

What position can I run for?

  • The officers shall be Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. The immediate Past-Chair shall be an officer ex-officio. All other members of the Board are called executives.
  • Engineers-in-Training (EITs) can hold executive positions and the Secretary position but cannot have signing authority for the chapter
  • The Chair must have served at least one year on the Board

On election day:

On election day at the AGM, Each candidate will provide a short, 1-minute speech on why they are running and if elected how they will serve the Chapter.
