Wanting to help makes a successful project: “Sincerely wanting to help someone makes a successful project. And life is a project.”
All projects have start dates and end dates and unique outcomes, but what makes a successful project? Is it simply following the plan or is there more? Mark believes there’s more, and it’s sincerely wanting to help someone that makes a successful project. In this presentation, Mark will share project management stories gathered over the years while managing large transportation infrastructure projects, and how the attitude of “wanting to help” increases the likelihood of project success. Stories include the $100 Million 2nd Concession Project, recipient of four Project of the Year awards, and the $40 Million Bayview Corridor Project, recipient of five Project of the Year awards. Both projects have been recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario, York Chapter.
