At this seminar, Diane Karnay and Christine Ashton, both lawyers with Wilson Vukelich LLP, will discuss your options, rights, and obligations. Gain insight on how, when, and whether to incorporate, desired terms in any service contract, and how to best retain and be retained as an engineer.

 Christine Ashton, Lawyer, Wilson Vukelich LLP is a partner with Wilson Vukelich LLP, a full service firm in Markham and a leader in business and tax law. Christine’s practice is devoted to the areas of labour and employment law, tax litigation and related litigation. Christine is an active member of various committees, boards, and associations, including acting as the 2018 President of the Ajax Pickering Board of Trade. Christine regularly moderates and speaks at events, including those held by the Ontario Bar Association, the Professional Engineers Ontario, the Ajax Pickering Board of Trade, and the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce.

Diane L. Karnay, Counsel and Trade-Mark Agent practices corporate and commercial law in the Business Law Group. She provides general corporate advice to both for-profit and not-for-profit clients, negotiates and implements commercial transactions, and has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, information technology, e-commerce, privacy, information technology and business process outsourcing, franchising, trade-mark and copyright matters. Diane is a member of the Toronto Computer Lawyers Group, the Canadian IT Law Association, TechConnex, and the Ontario Bar Association. She is also a registered trade-mark agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. Diane is a member of the Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs and the Corporate Networking Group in Markham. She is also on the board of directors of Covenant House Toronto, a charitable organization which provides services and support to homeless youth
