speaker-alex-furseAlex Furse, P.Eng. completed a BASc in mechanical engineering and a MHSc in clinical engineering at the University of Toronto. Alex’s past experience includes developing prosthetic technologies at Bloorview Kids Rehab and advancing a minimally invasive thermal ablation device for cancer at Princess Margaret Hospital. Alex currently works at Minogue Medical as field engineer and clinical support national team manager involved in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of the da Vinci surgical robotic system. His team is also responsible for the training of surgeons and nurses in Canada and operating room procedure support. He also has a number of publications in several engineering and medical journals.
