Tuesday June 9th, 2015 - 7:30pm
Location: London Pub (9724 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, Ontario)
Communication is the foundation to successful organizations. The same can be said for successful managers. Leaders must apply every aspect of their communication skills to apply effective leadership functions and recognize the impact it has on their direct reports, themselves and the organization. By identifying the difference between the processes of management and the application of effective communication, people can learn to be extraordinary leaders in any level of management.
Our presenter will show us how to focus our communication skills in our daily leadership tasks and get better results in the workplace.
Valerie Harrison is a seasoned facilitator and developer of communications and leadership training programs. Ms. Harrison was the co-owner of the leadership training firm The Management Development Group from 1996 to 2003, where she was a lead facilitator and program designer for communications and leadership programs.
In 2003, she launched Centric Dynamix Inc. with refined and reshaped programs based on the same proven model. Valerie has facilitated hundreds of groups and is accustomed to training in union and non-unionized environments as well as public and private organizations. Ms. Harrison brings practical experience to training from her tenures as General Manager of Bendtech Inc. and Proform Inc. prior to her work with the Management Development Group and her leadership both inside the classroom and out exemplifies her high standards and professionalism.
