Geothermal Piping Technology This presentation provides a fundamental understanding of the latest PEXa geothermal systems and when to best implement these technologies.

This 60+ minute presentation will be of interest to MEP firms involved with geothermal heating and cooling systems, architects, builders, design/build firms.

This presentation will:

  • Explain the role of the ground loop heat exchanger and the physical demands placed on buried pipes;
  • Describe the capabilities and limits of the two most common types of geothermal piping systems;
  • Name the connection technologies available for these types of geothermal pipes;
  • Compare the advantages of three common manifold concepts for geothermal systems.

Our Presenters:

Dale Hanscomb is the Sales Manager in charge of the Building Technology Division of REHAU for Ontario and has been actively involved in Hydronics since 1997. Responsibilities include all aspects of sales, design, and service for REHAU’s Radiant Floor Heating Systems, Radiant Cooling Systems, Geothermal Systems, Residential Fire Protection Systems, Plumbing Systems, Energy Transfer Piping, and REHAU Smart Controls (Building Automation System).

Mihai Broscatean is an Account Representative responsible for sales and technical support for the Building Technology Division of REHAU throughout Eastern Ontario. Mihai has been active in the heating business since graduating in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 and has been an active supporter and influencer of the Hydronics market since he joined REHAU in 2007. His responsibilities include all aspects of sales, service, and support for REHAU's Radiant Floor Heating/Cooling Systems, Geothermal Systems, Building Automation Systems (REHAU Smart Controls), as well as Plumbing and Energy Transfer Piping.
