There are two types of stress: eustress and distress. Eustress gives you an edge, pushing you further in your career. Distress straps you down making you feel like you’re drowning in quick sand. It can make you feel tired, irritable, unfocused, and eventually lead to burn out, among other health issues. Lacking energy to make your dreams come true is the fastest way to kill inspiration, motivation, and to feel stuck. But you love your career and chose it for a reason.
The good news is, stress isn’t all bad. You can react better to stressful situations, harness them, and use them to your advantage. By thinking differently and clearly, you can achieve more without doing more.
