Apotex is an independent, dynamic, Canadian pharmaceutical company committed to R&D, manufacturing and distributing a broad range of high quality, affordable medicines to patients, healthcare providers, payers and governments worldwide. In 2005, the Richmond Hill facilities transitioned from Novex Pharma to Apotex. This Apotex manufacturing site now focuses on the production of liquid dose medications in the form of nasal sprays, ophthalmic drops and oral solutions. The plant consists of GMP production space, compounding equipment and laboratories for R&D and product testing.
Engineering activities include capital project management, production support and validation of equipment and facility changes, new product launch and building systems support.
Our host is Brian Lee, P.Eng. an employee at Apotex in the Production Engineering Team and volunteer with York Chapter Program Committee.
